Our team utilizes Zenlist, which is a user-friendly search tool, that allows our buyers to explore the public AND private networks for the best properties. Furthermore, our seller clients benefit from their homes being displayed on Zenlist for additional exposure during our Coming Soon campaign, which leads to more showings and interest. (Agents not subscribed to this service are not able to display their listings through Zenlist.)

Our close partnerships with our dedicated lender and attorneys allows for seamless communication for each and every transaction. After you purchase your home (or before you put it on the market), we have a carefully compiled list of preferred vendors who specialize in everything from small handyman jobs to full scale renovations. Our Realtors have in-depth knowledge and personal experience with a variety of buying scenarios such as investment properties, flipping homes, and fixer upper properties.

Our Focus on Education
We strive to educate our clients & the public through our social media and informative seminars. Buying & selling real estate is one of the biggest financial decisions out there, so we want to make sure that our clients are comfortable & fully understand what to expect from the process. We pride ourselves on holding our clients hand throughout the entire experience and helping them to make informed decisions. Our agents also complete continuing education to stay ahead of trends and offer the absolute best service & expertise to our clients. Many of our agents are Certified Staging Consultants (CSC) which means they have completed coursework that focuses on home staging fundamentals, the psychology behind staging, and current design/ decor trends buyers are looking for. 

Our Involvement in the Community
Through charity work and Ortman Group Gives, our team has established partnerships with various charitable organizations in order to give back to the communities we serve. In 2021, we raised funds for Lemons of Love, participated in GiGi’s Playhouse’s 5k, and collected goodwill items along with raising hundreds of dollars in gift cards for the Mount Prospect Kid’s Pantry. Furthermore, every year, our entire company of Berkshire Hathaway Starck Real Estate collects diapers for Willow Creek’s Care Center which supports families in the NW Suburbs. With the help of our social media pages, we strive to elevate and promote local businesses that make the NW suburbs a great place to live. All of our agents live in the areas we’re serving, so for us it is personal to be able to share what we love about these communities and neighborhoods. 

Our Growing List of Awards
The Ortman Group is proud to be the top 1% of all Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices agents. We have achieved Berkshire Hathaway’s Top Award of Presidents Club Platinum since Berkshire came into existence in 2013. Our other proud achievement is the Five Star Customer Service Award which is an independent 3rd party organization that interviews clients about their experience. Based on those surveys, they create a Top Agent list for each market. We have won this award every year since 2013. In 2021, we made the Forbes Top 500 Agent Five Star List. Multiple agents on our team have also won the Five Star Rising Agent award, which recognizes professionals who excelled in sales & customer service when beginning their Real Estate careers. In 2021, we were HomeLight.com’s Top 5% Producing Agents, our average List price to Sales Price ratio was 99.2% and our listings sold in 16 days or less on average.
